Our Active Swimsuit Tips
- Immediately rinse your swimsuit after you’ve gotten out of the pool or ocean in the shower or the sink. This will stop the sun and sea water from discolouring and wearing out the material.
- When you get home, hand wash your swim suit in cold water hand soap (or a mild detergent) then rinse. Lay it flat to dry out of direct sunlight.
- Choose a suit that fits snuggly to ensure it stays secure once you've been in the water as the material can become slack once wet.
- If you have a big bust, choose a top with good coverage and thicker straps (preferably with a clasp fastening as opposed to a tie).
- To accentuate your bust, look for a top with details (like ruffles, a fringe or embellishments), a push up top, or a triangle top.
- To de-accentuate, get a bandeau or bralette style top as these typically flatten the bust.
- To accentuate your hips, wear boy shorts, something with a wide band, or a ruffle that hits you at the hips.
- To de-accentuate your hips, wear a plain bottom or a string bottom.
